  • How long does the initial assessment take?
    The initial intake consultation will take a maximum of 60 minutes. The time may vary depending on thelevel of client engagement.
  • What happens after the assessment is completed?
    The therapist will meet with the parent to discuss the details of the assessment and review the plan of treatment.
  • How long will my child attend therapy?
    The number of therapy sessions are based on the plan of action for treatment and client progression.
  • Will my child receive medication from your office?
    Clients will not receive medication through Kairos Counseling Center. If asked by the parent, a list of child psychiatrist and or pediatricians will be provided to the parents.
  • Does Kairos Counseling Center accept self-pay clients?
    Yes.
  • Does Kairos Counseling Center provided counseling services to clients who are hearing and visually impaired?
    Yes, services are provided through TDD/Captel Device (Relay for Alabama).
  • Does Kairos Counseling Center provided counseling services to clients who speak English but their parents do not speak English?
    Yes, Kairos Counseling Center provides interpreters at the expense of the center and not the client.
  • Do you have weekend appointments?
    Kairos Counseling Center provides counseling services on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays per month from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
